Serp.Farm Wordpress check list

Update WP to latest version

Set Permalink structure e.g. /%postname%/
Set Settings > Reading > Discourage search engines to ON, We don't want Google having a sneak preview.
Delete the sample page and empty bin
Delete the sample post and empty bin

Change site title in Settings > General
Alter "Just another WordPress site" in the tag line or remove.

Install your visitor tracking plugin - e.g newstatpress
      If newstatpress activate the external api   options > API > Enable External API (tick box) then save.
      then install IP2nation (optional) for country tracking tools > IP2nation Install

Install latest version of
Activate with serial number
Install and activate any other plugins you want
Update all plugins
Customise or install theme
Add categories
Add new page projects

Things to check in the build.

Add title with variables
Add body with content, shortcodes and spin.
Set the block spinning if used.
Set meta data and values
Set any custom Variables
Choose your country
Set the slug
Choose the re-direct type   
Add your Schema
Set your categories
Set your tags
Choose posting schedule and refresh date
backup your project via

I would recommend using something like seocentro to check the meta data is correct. (10 free checks per day)
this will also show you how google will see you pages.
After you have published remember turn Discourage search engines to to OFF.
Unleash your indexing regime

Good list man, but I think a lot of jobs on the first one could be done once on a master copy and then cloned. So set up a template then export it using All In One Migration. Then on new installs just install the plugin and import the template. If you are building a lot of sites this can be a nice time saver.
